Small Series:

Prototypes and small series in the genuine material are produced with rapid tooling methods. The selection of the appropriate technology is dependent on:
- quantities
- material
- dimensions
- tolerances and
- surface finish.

So it may be true, that mould inserts can be from casting resin, stereolithography resin, aluminium (cast or milled), unhardened steel or sintered metal. Or we are combining these technologies. So the lifetime reaches from a few hundred to 10.000 injection moulding parts. 

The production of tools for small series requires a change of thinking in the tool construction. Automatic sliders replace through hand-inset parts; the use of eroding technology should be avoided; and so on.
