Key
Technology: Laser caving
Particularly
in the case of very hard, non conductive or high-melting materials
(e.g. hastelloy, tungsten, molybdenum, hard metals, ceramic materials
such as Si nitride and alumina), which are difficult to cut by
conventional erosion procedures, new possibilities arise for
three-dimensional shaping as a result of the employment of laser
technology. The treatment of graphite electrodes is also very well
possible by this procedure.
